  • Partner with your team and engineers to bring a fresh take on our new strategy

As a Senior UI Designer you will shape the user experience and visual design of Rest’s digital products from concept to execution, by delivering exceptional user experiences through intuitive and visually beautiful designs.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the UI re-design process for our digital touch-points.
  • Translate user insights and business requirements into hi-fidelity designs to effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
  • Ensure that our UI designs, including layouts, colour schemes, typography and iconography will align with new brand guidelines.
  • Apply best practices to create engaging and accessible UI designs.
  • Understanding the user and project needs and translating that into a build ready designs.
  • Be an active member of an Agile Scrum team, working closely with Product Owner, BA, Engineers, and Testers to ensure the seamless integration of design solutions into the development process.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in design, digital or equivalent industry experience

Required experience, understanding or credentials including:

  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in UX/UI design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful user-centred design projects.
  • Proficiency with Figma, UI kits, applying branding to User Interfaces and 
  • Solid understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices
  • Strong visual design skills.
  • Knowledge of front-end development technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React and their impact on design feasibility.
  • Experience in user research including participation in interviews, surveys, card sorting, tree jacking and usability testing to derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills and the ability to be a strong advocate for the user.
