Junior UX Researcher

We’re looking for a Junior User researcher to support Moneybox’s growing product and design teams, to continue to build meaningful and simple user experiences.

Your focus will be on delivering value through discovery and evaluative testing. You’ll be expected to perform hands-on research as well as driving self serve research amongst the team.

You understand how user research helps shape metrics and drive teams towards success and as such can deliver timely and impactful insights.

You’ll be expected to proactively work with cross-functional partners across the business to leverage available data, ensuring no insights are left unturned, evangelising research practices and general user-centricity throughout the company. Therefore you should be someone who is natural at building relationships and presence across the business.

You will also have the opportunity to support the Lead and Senior UX researcher in growing and developing the research function and as such you’re a self-starter, proactively spotting gaps in processes and working swiftly to propose solutions.

As such, this isn’t an entry level position.

If you’re able to do so, please share a portfolio of your work

What you'll do

  • This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • You will work directly with the product, insights and engineering teams to understand the user base, business needs, related requirements and technical constraints.
  • You will report directly to the User Research Lead and be based in the London office on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in the office, Monday’s and Wednesday’s).
  • You’ll have weekly 1-2-1 sessions with your line manager to encourage development and growth.
  • Plan and lead research projects end-to-end and facilitate the experience for our team.
  • Conduct research using a wide range of methods, communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways, tailoring findings to suit the audience
  • You’ll be one of the loudest voices for the customer – helping to talk about problems, needs and ideas in a way that creates real impact for our customers.
  • Partner closely with other researchers to build out Moneybox’s research practice and infrastructure, creating artifacts, educational tools, experiences and processes that help build and evangelise the UX Research within the larger organisation.

Who you are

  • A driven user research with 2 years minimum experience
  • A strong problem solver with a humble inquisitive approach
  • Organised and enjoys working in a fast paced environment
  • Comfortable with some degree of context switching and handling multiple projects
  • Experience with core research methodologies, such as in-depth interviewing, concept testing, usability testing and surveying
  • A powerful advocate for the user and ensuring that their voice is consistently brought to the table
  • You’re passionate about digging deeper to understand the underlying needs and goals of our users
  • A proactive self-developer that keeps up to date with the User Research industry, and a spokesperson for representing our customers in the business
  • You enjoy collaborating with Researchers, Product Managers, Designers, Analysts and other stakeholders to conduct impactful research and inform effective solutions

What's in it for you

  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing, award-winning and super ambitious business.
  • Work with a friendly team of highly motivated individuals.
  • Be in an environment where you are listened to and can actually have an impact.
  • Thriving collaborative and inclusive company culture.
  • Competitive remuneration package.
  • Company share options.
  • A benefits package that includes Gympass, a personal learning budget, subsidised private medical insurance, matched pension contributions up to an additional 2% and more!
